About Me

Keiren Cheung is an architecture student with a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch Hons) RIBA Part 1 from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, The Glasgow School of Art.

My primary interests in Architecture is designing for Acoustics. Through my earlier musical training, I have been fascinated between the boundaries of Music and Architecture. I would like to investigate and apply my knowledge of music through research to influence my architectural design work. Especially, during my 4th year I undertook a dissertation topic regarding “The abstract form of architectural acoustics through the evolution of theatres and concert halls”.

Out with Architecture I am a keen musician playing the Violin. I have attained ABRSM Grade 8 on both Violin and Viola. Throughout my studies I regularly attended the University of Strathclyde Orchestra society, performing in annual concerts. Along side my academia I have also worked part time weekend jobs which supports my studies.

Currently, I am working as a Seasonal Visitor Services Advisor for VisitScotland (Industry Destination Development Directorate). In this role I provide information to visitors, booking tour packages and liaising with external affiliated companies. More recently, I also assisted with the UCI Cycling World Championships which was held in Glasgow over the summer of August 2023.
