The location of ‘Glasgow Central Station’ provides a structurally developed building which helps to enhance the a civic/public building which is central to the historical development of Glasgow. Investigating the purpose built glass roof structure and cast iron suspended girders provides a unique interior atmospheric qualities which contribute the sucess of the environment.
The choice of Glasgow Central Station also provides a personal connection, through working within the train station during weekends this allows me to see circulation and movement of the space, in regards to the funactionality of the space as a whole. The photograph was taken on an early Sunday morning prior starting my shift at work.
